Alta’s focus is to develop high resolution analog storage technology on standard E2PROM and Flash processes. Our first products feature 10 bit effective resolution on a .35 micron process at Chartered Semiconductor with a storage cell size of 15 square microns. This technology can be used for three different applications:
The first is to provide a cost-effective alternative to laser trimming or fuse trimming in mixed signal designs in standard CMOS processes. The second is to provide a cost-effective medium for the recording of Analog data, such as temperature, for medium density applications. The third is to provide an analog memory element to circuit designers to replace many of the discreet D/A converters used to initialize, configure and optimize analog board level designs.
