Arch Rock Corporation is a software, systems and services company, developing products that support wireless sensing and control networks. Arch Rock's vision is to expand the scope of the Internet to include the physical world by seamlessly integrating information technology systems and wireless sensor networks in the simplest possible manner. Arch Rock software creates a new class of computer system out of cost-effective, highly integrated, embedded hardware. Typical wireless sensor nodes, often called motes, consist of a simple processor, storage, a radio, possibly other communication links, a power source, and any of a wide range of sensors, such as temperature, pressure, vibration, motion, sound, contaminants, and contact.
