BeamExpress, located in Silicon Valley California and Lausanne Switzerland, designs and manufactures high-value-added fiber optic component solution for next generation 10Gigabit (and beyond) networks. BeamExpress intellectual property is based on proprietary long wavelength VCSEL technology, Optics design, and Electrical/Mechanical/Software integration. BeamExpress was founded in 2001 as a spin-off from EPFL, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, where the VCSEL technology was originated. BeamExpress entry product transmits 10Gigabit data over installed multi-mode and single-mode fibers.
