Great achievement demands more than a great idea. “Creativity” is only one of the many components of “Productive Creativity.” Our research has revealed the invaluable role of other components such as leadership capability, staying organized, community, accountability, and cross-pollination in making ideas happen.
The Behance team is purpose-driven. Every Behance project must foster Productive Creativity in the creative community. Productive Creativity = Creativity + Controls + Community + Execution
We advance the philosophy of Productive Creativity in three ways. First, we seek out and learn from exceptionally product creative people and teams. Second, we synthesize the best practices and insights we learn to make them accessible to the broader creative community. Third, we publish articles, design products, run seminars, gather resources, and plan other initiatives to promote Productive Creativity in the creative community.
