Biotrue and its parent company have been leading developers of data management solutions oriented toward public sector agencies and nonprofits for over four years. In 2002 Biotrue began to collaborate with scientists at the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center and The J. David Gladstone Institutes to develop a prototype data management solution to manage the massive flood of biomedical research data generated by modern instrumentation and techniques. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has supported the development of the CDMS and related solutions with nearly $1 million in grant funding.«Less

| Description: | Biotrue's Collaborative Data Management System (CDMS) is a server based software system for biomedical research laboratories that enables scientists to easily store, manage and share all types of instrument and analytical datafiles. The innovative system has a familiar graphical interface accessed through an Internet browser. Datafiles are uploaded into the system by a simple drag-and-drop method. Underlying the easy-to-use interface is a robust database with powerful search capabilties based on metadata parsed from instrument files or entered by users. Biotrue's CDMS is security enabled, and allows permissions to be set on a per user basis, and in addition to activity logs allows CDMS to be deployed in regulatory compliant enviroments. Developed with NIH sponsorship and in collaboration with scientists at major research laboratories, Biotrue CDMS is being adopted by an ever-growing number of laboratories at world-class research institutions. |
