Jeremy Allaire, Founder & CEO

Jeremy founded Brightcove in early 2004 with a vision for the transformation of television with the Internet. As Founder & CEO of Brightcove, Jeremy leads the company's technology, marketing and business development strategy. Prior to founding Brightcove, Jeremy worked as a technologist and entrepreneur-in-residence for Cambridge, MA-based venture capital firm General Catalyst, where he worked on companies and investments in broadband media, mobile content, e-commerce software and digital identity. Before General Catalyst, Jeremy was Chief Technology Officer of Macromedia, where he helped define and launch the Macromedia MX platform for Rich Internet Applications, helping to evolve Macromedia Flash into a dominant platform for rich media applications on the Internet. Jeremy joined Macromedia with its merger with Allaire Corporation, where Jeremy was a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer. Founded in 1995, Allaire Corporation was a pioneer in using the web as an application platform, and its industry leading and award winning products power millions of websites, online services and business applications on the Internet.

Adam Berrey, SVP, Marketing and Strategy

Adam Berrey is responsible for developing and implementing Brightcove's marketing and business strategies. Adam brings more than 10 years of operational, business, and marketing management experience to the Brightcove management team. Adam joins Brightcove from Onfolio where he was President and part of the founding team responsible for launching the company in 2004. Prior to Onfolio, Adam was the VP, Marketing at Macromedia where he led the launch of the Macromedia MX platform for Rich Internet Applications. Adam joined Macromedia when they merged with Allaire in 2001. He was part of the founding team at Allaire, and during his five year tenure, he held a variety of positions leading strategic marketing and business efforts in product management, product marketing, marketing communications, and business strategy helping to grow the company from $500,000 to more than $100 million in annual revenue

Bob Mason, CTO

Bob co-founded Brightcove with Jeremy Allaire, and provides leadership for Brightcove's vision, design and architecture. He plays an instrumental role in working with Brightcove's customers and partners. Occasionally, he is still tasked to write code. Bob Mason joins Brightcove from Art Technology Group (ATG) where he was a founding member of the product development team, having joined in 1994 as the 10th employee. During his 10-year tenure at ATG, Bob provided technology leadership in formulating the company's growth and strategic positioning and as a Senior Software Architect was the technical leader for software architecture and development through over 6 major product release cycles, including ATG's Java-based Dynamo Application Server, Personalization, eCommerce, Portal and eService solutions. He was also the technical leader for ATG's pioneering services projects including MovieFone's initial online ticket system and Sony's online gaming and entertainment portal, The Station @ Sony. Bob holds a BS in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Elisabeth Bentel Carpenter, SVP, Worldwide Sales & Business Development

Elisabeth is responsible for defining and executing Brightcove's go-to-market strategy, including working with major publishers, marketing and distribution partners. Elisabeth joins Brightcove from News Corporation's British Sky Broadcasting subsidiary in London. Over nearly a decade at News Corporation and Sky, Elisabeth held a variety of senior management roles, including directing Sky's broadband and new technologies strategy and operations, its new media division, corporate development and strategic planning roles. Elisabeth was also instrumental in the initial launch of Sky Digital, Sky's breakthrough digital satellite video distribution platform. Elisabeth also worked directly in the office of the CEO, helping to launch global joint-ventures as well as leading Sky's sports rights acquisition deals. Elisabeth was a Fulbright scholar, a graduate of Harvard University, and has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a JD from Columbia School of Law

Andrew Feinberg, SVP, Corporate Development & General Counsel

Andy's responsibilities include Brightcove's strategic relationships, corporate development, and all of Brightcove's legal matters. Andy also supports the establishment and maintenance of Brightcove's relationships with its commercial partners, publishers, and consumers. Andy joins Brightcove after 5 1/2 years at Lycos, Inc., where he was Vice President and General Counsel. While at Lycos, in addition to heading a team responsible for all of Lycos' legal affairs, Andy also played a leading role in negotiating and establishing many of Lycos' key US and international relationships, including with companies such as Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Bell Canada, AT&T, and Fox. Andy has written and lectured extensively on various ecommerce and Internet issues. Before joining Lycos, Andy was in private practice with Choate, Hall & Stewart in Boston, and Shearman & Sterling in New York. Before that, Andy served as law clerk for the former Chief Judge for the United States District Court for Connecticut. Andy received his JD from Cornell Law School, where he was an Editor of the Cornell Law Review, and his BA from Tufts University.
