Since 2001, Celso Correia has built Insitec SGPS into one of the top companies in Mozambique, establishing an impressive record of achievement in the finance, real estate, construction, and energy industries. Alongside business activities, Mr. Correia has launched a series of philanthropic initiatives and public works projects to encourage economic development in Mozambique.

Celso Correia and Insitec SGPS joined with Brazilian holding company Camargo Corrêa and Electricidade de Moçambique to form Hidroeléctrica de Mphanda Nkuwa, a company exploring sustainable hydroelectric energy in Mozambique. Through its massive Mphanda Nkuwa Hydropower Plant on the Zambezi River, Hidroeléctrica de Mphanda Nkuwa hopes to bring 2,500 megawatts of power to families and businesses in Mozambique and elsewhere in southern Africa. Scheduled for completion in 2017, the Mphanda Nkuwa Hydropower Plant represents a major victory for Insitec SGPS, its partners, and the Mozambican people.
