Composite Software Appoints Seasoned Development Executive As Vice President of Engineering

SAN MATEO, Calif. – September 12, 2005 – Composite Software, the leading provider of enterprise information integration (EII) solutions, today announced the appointment of Dr. James Crawford as vice president of engineering. Dr. Crawford brings fifteen years of experience in software research and development, including extensive experience in managing complex, high-profile, software development projects in specific areas of relevance to Composite such as optimization and heuristic analysis . His responsibilities at Composite include product development, quality assurance, and product support. His focus will be on maintaining and extending Composite’s strong record of timely, high-quality releases, while meeting the challenges resulting from the company’s continued high rate of growth.

Dr. Crawford comes to Composite from Ames Research Center, NASA’s center of excellence for information technology. At Ames, Crawford was responsible for a group of almost 100 researchers in intelligent robotics, planning software, and spacecraft design. Among other projects, his teams recently delivered an optimized activity planner for the Mars rovers and genetically-engineered antennae for NASA’s ST5 mission. In stringent NASA-wide competitions in 2005, his teams won five major new awards totaling over $20 million.

Prior to joining NASA, Dr. Crawford led the Optimization team at i2 Technologies, responsible for algorithms to solve the largest supply-chain planning problems. As part of his work at i2, he led a series of significant Joint Development Projects that gave i2 differentiated product capabilities in pricing optimization, sell side content, and decision support for contract negotiation. Prior to i2, Dr. Crawford worked at AT&T Bell Laboratories and co-founded the Computational Intelligence Research Laboratory (CIRL) at the University of Oregon. Dr. Crawford is the author of over fifteen papers in referred journals and conferences, and holds five patents. He holds PhD and Master’s degrees in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin, and a BA in Math and Computer Science from Rice University.

COMPOSITE SOFTWARE APPOINTS SILICON VALLEY VETERAN AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

SAN MATEO, Calif. - March 6, 2007 – Composite Software, Inc., the leader in SOA data services, today announced the appointment of Steve Vattuone as chief financial officer. Vattuone brings over 15 years of experience in enterprise software and consulting services to Composite. His responsibilities will include finance and accounting, human resources legal, information technology, and operations. His primary focus will be on guiding Composite’s next stage of growth through prudent financial strategy and management. Composite has experienced more than 150 percent average annual revenue growth over the past three years.

Vattuone worked most recently at Micromuse, where as the vice president of Finance and corporate controller, he played a key role during the sale of Micromuse to IBM for more than $800 million. Prior to joining Micromuse, Vattuone served as the corporate controller of Macrovision, a developer and licensor of copy protection, electronic licensing and rights management software. Before that, he served as the vice president, Finance of Organic, Inc., an internet professional services provider. As corporate controller of Brio Software, an enterprise software company that developed and licensed query and reporting tools, Vattuone’s experience included taking the private company through an initial public offering. At the beginning of his career, he held several positions at Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP.

Vattuone holds an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University and a B.S. in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.

Mr. Green is an industry luminary who is recognized not only for building successful technology companies, but also for being a driving force behind the standards and achievements that have shaped the entire industry.

After the merger with webMethods, he led the integration of the companies' product lines to create the industry's first comprehensive business integration platform.

Mr. Green is also recognized for leading the team that developed the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) specification, an industry standard for distributed objects. An industry visionary, he has also achieved several industry firsts by developing networking and distributed computing products. He holds M.S. degrees in Industrial Engineering and Computer Science.

Mr. Soghikian is an investment veteran known in the technology community for his ability to identify and support businesses at various stages in achieving their goals. Mr. Soghikian is a co-founder of Panorama Capital and focuses primarily on technology investments.

A veteran venture capital fund manager with expertise in all aspects of Information Technology investing, Jim Gauer has produced well over $1 billion in gains for his investors during his career and has established himself as one of the venture industry's premier IT investors.

Prior to forming Palomar Ventures, Mr. Gauer led early-stage IT investments as general partner for Enterprise Partners Venture Capital. With experience as Chief Executive Officer of several successful companies in both the US and Europe, Mr. Gauer combines a strong technical and management background with an outstanding record as an investment professional to guide and oversee the investment strategy for the Palomar fund.

Mr. Gauer has led investments in such market leaders as webMethods (WEBM), Efficient Networks (EFNT, Siemens), Borland (BORL), American Home Lenders (LEND), Rendition (Micron), XLNT Designs (Intel), Isocor (ISOC, Critical Path), Digital Style (Netscape), and numerous other successful public and private companies.
