Data Robotics is developing a new class of storage product for the small business and networked home that is simple and straightforward enough for any non-technical computer user. This new technology delivers advanced storage functionality that anyone, regardless of computer knowledge or expertise, can use without understanding the basics of storage. Networked storage is no longer the purview of the larger enterprise. According to many analysts, small companies and the networked home are the true growth markets for storage – estimated to equal the enterprise storage market by the end of this decade. However, several challenges still remain. The industry continues to repackage complex storage technologies such as RAID, NAS and SAN – with limited success – into this predominately non-technical market.
