Michael S. Dell, CEO
Michael Dell, born in February 1965, is the chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer of Dell, the company he founded in 1984 with $1,000 and an unprecedented idea — to build relationships directly with customers. In 1992, Michael became the youngest CEO ever to earn a ranking on the Fortune 500.
Michael is the author of Direct From Dell: Strategies That Revolutionized an Industry, his story of the rise of the company and the strategies he has refined that apply to all businesses.
In 1998, Michael formed MSD Capital, and in 1999, he and his wife formed the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation to manage the investments and philanthropic efforts, respectively, of the Dell family.
Michael serves on the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, the executive committee of the International Business Council and is a member of the U.S. Business Council. Michael also serves on the Technology CEO Council and the governing board of the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad, India.
Peter A. Altabef, President, Dell Services
Peter Altabef serves as president of Dell Services, the global IT services and business solutions unit of Dell. In this role, he is responsible for developing and delivering a best-in-class suite of intelligent, end-to-end IT services and business solutions for global corporations, government, health care, educational institutions and medium businesses in more than 180 countries around the world. He is also responsible for global information systems and technology structure for Dell.
He was previously president and chief executive officer of Perot Systems, which was acquired by Dell in November 2009. Perot Systems achieved significant growth in its services capabilities, global presence and revenue during Peter's five-year tenure.
Before joining Perot Systems in 1993, Peter was a partner at Hughes & Luce, in Dallas, Texas. He previously practiced law in New York and served as a law clerk to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He earned a J.D. degree from The University of Chicago Law School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Binghamton University.
Peter is a member of The Bretton Woods Committee and serves on the Americas International Advisory Council of the International Business Leaders Forum.
Brad R. Anderson, SVP, Enterprise Product Group
Brad Anderson serves as senior vice president, Enterprise Product Group, for Dell. In this role, he is responsible for worldwide engineering, design, development and marketing of Dell enterprise products including servers, networking and storage systems.
Prior to joining Dell in 2005, Brad was senior vice president and general manager of the Hewlett Packard Industry Standard Servers business, where he was responsible for the ProLiant family of servers. Previously, he was vice president of server storage and infrastructure for HP, where he led the team responsible for delivering industry-leading server storage, peripheral and infrastructure products.
Before joining HP in 1996, Brad held top management positions at Cray Research in executive staff, field marketing, sales, finance and corporate marketing.
Brad earned a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard University. He serves on the Texas A&M Look College of Engineering Advisory Council.
