The idea for Diabetic Days came about through my own experiences of being an insulin dependent diabetic. I was diagnosed with juvenille diabetes one week before starting high school and have now lived with four daily injections for over thirteen years.
Originally I created a website to use for my own personal tracking of glucose levels and insulin dosages, one that I could have access to at any moment from anywhere in the world. Add on top of that the fact I built in the ability to email my readings through as well as use my mobile and I didn’t even need a computer. Within a month I had things back to normal and I want to give all diabetics, new and veterans the opportunity to do the same.
