Neil Roseman, Founder & CEO
Based in Seattle, WA, EVRI is a team of superstar engineers and product developers with deep expertise in natural language processing, machine learning, and most importantly, building great products. Located in the historic Pioneer Square area of downtown Seattle, we are building a team passionate about innovation, great user experiences and having fun.
The company is led by CEO Neil Roseman. Prior to joining EVRI, Neil spent 9 1/2 years at Amazon.com (1998 - 2007), most as a Vice President of Technology. Most recently Neil was responsible for Amazon.com's Digital Media Technologies and Amazon’s Global Subscriptions Platform. In this role Neil was responsible for product and software development for efforts such Search Inside the Book ™, Amazon Unbox Digital Video, and the recently launched Amazon MP3 service. The Subscriptions Platform, which Neil designed and built with a small team, is used globally by Amazon Prime, Amazon DVD Rental (in the UK and Germany) and other Amazon.com services. Prior to that Neil was responsible for many of Amazon's most successful product launches, including Music and DVD stores, Marketplace (Amazon's 3rd-party business), Amazon China, and the initial Amazon Web Services product.
Before joining Amazon.com, Neil was at pioneering internet music ecommerce startup Music Boulevard. And before Music Boulevard Neil was the Senior Engineer at BIOSIS (http://www.biosis.org/, now part of Thompson Scientific) which indexes and provides search tools for information in Biology and the Life Sciences.
Steve Moss, VP of Business Development
Steve Moss has more than 20 years experience in both traditional media and new media companies, both in North America and in Asia. Prior to joining evri, Moss served as Vice President, Sales and Services for Corbis Corporation, Bill Gates' privately held digital media and licensing company. Before joining Corbis, Moss was General Manager of North America Field Sales with Microsoft’s MSN division.
Moss spent 10 years in the Asia Pacific region, most recently as CEO of DoubleClick Asia, where he was responsible for launching the DoubleClick network in six countries throughout Southeast Asia. Prior to DoubleClick, Moss was Vice President and Managing Director of BusinessWeek.
Moss earned his M.A. from the University of Notre Dame, and his MBA from the University of Chicago.
Deep Dhillon, Chief Technology Officer
Deep Dhillon is an accomplished engineer and systems architect with extensive experience conceptualizing, architecting and deploying multiple advanced networking applications. His areas of expertise include: Internet based search systems; object-oriented and knowledge-based systems, software architecture and audio based search systems.
Before joining evri, Dhillon was Director of Engineering at Insightful Corporation, in the Text Analysis and Search business division. In this role, he led the development efforts for InFact, a large scale natural language-based enterprise text analysis platform and search engine. In the summer of 2007, Dhillon helped oversee incorporating InFact’s intellectual property, core team and technology into evri.
Prior to Insightful, Dhillon was a founder and chief scientist at music search and identification company, Cantametrix. At Cantametrix, Dhillon led a team to build the original prototypes that led to the creation of the world's first, large scale, fully automated, digital signal processing based music identification and classification system. This technology has evolved into Gracenote's Music Id technology and is employed daily by millions of users in many diverse applications including Apple's iTunes, Yahoo! Music Engine and many other audio appliances.
Before founding Cantametrix, Dhillon was a research engineer at Metapath Software International (which became GEC Marconi). Prior to that, Dhillon was a member of the technical staff at GTE Laboratories (now Verizon), in the Advanced Systems Laboratory, where he developed advanced interactive Internet prototypes and served as a consultant to GTE business units.
Dhillon received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin--Madison.
Keith Williams, Director of Product
Keith Williams has been developing user-centric software products and Web sites for nearly 20 years. Initially a developer and later a technical program and product manager, Williams has experience with large public and privately held businesses, as well as small start-ups and companies in transition. At Amazon.com for more than six years, Williams was responsible for the launch of Amazon Marketplace, as well as the first fully hosted eCommerce partners on the Amazon Services platform. Since leaving Amazon.com in 2005, Keith has consulted to several Seattle area start-ups before joining evri.
Williams holds a B.S. in Psychology and Organizational Management from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN.
