Donald Basile, CEO & Chairman
As CTO of Fusion-io, and one of the company’s founders, David Flynn is the visionary behind Fusion-io’s innovative technology. Mr. Flynn is responsible for providing business-focused oversight of the company's research and development efforts, as well as driving the company’s short- and long-term technological direction.
Mr. Flynn has a history of successfully architecting complex computer-related solutions, including some of the world's largest and fastest supercomputers and the world's smallest personal Linux servers; embedded Web 2.0 interactive TV; image processing; relational databases; file systems; and thin-client computing products.
Prior to joining Fusion-io, Mr. Flynn served as Project BlackDog’s chief scientist and vice president, engineering. He has also held positions at Linux Networx and Network Computer Incorporated (NCI), a spin-off of Oracle Corporation.
Mr. Flynn holds a B.S. in Computer Science and serves on the Technology Advisory Boards for the College of Information Technology at Brigham Young University and Techniscan Medical Systems.
Mr. Flynn embraced technology at an early age. While attending Brigham Young University, Flynn created 3D-GIS (graphics information systems) for noise control at Boston Logan International and Salt Lake International airports as technical lead at Larson Davis Laboratories. At 16, he designed and authored 3D flight simulation and image processing software for the Department of Defense, while working for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). Prior to that, he created and marketed flight-planning software for general aviation pilots.

Rick White, Senior VP of Marketing
As Fusion-io's Senior Vice President of Marketing and one of the company's founders, Mr. White is responsible for planning and implementing the company’s marketing strategies and is part of the energy driving the company.
Mr. White brings many years of industry entrepreneurial experience, having founded several successful technology companies that have sold for hundreds of millions of dollars. These include Phobos Corporation, a provider of Internet traffic management solutions, which sold for $309 million and most recently, Forum Systems, an industry leader in Web services and SOA security infrastructure. Mr. White also served as Chairman of DAZ 3D, a leading provider of high quality 3D models and 3D authoring software.
Mr. White has assembled for Fusion-io a core team of marketing and brand specialists that have successfully worked together. The team has extensive experience and industry acclaim for such accolades as the Top 50 Brand AIGA awards and most notably, developing the “Intel Inside” concept.
Dixon Doll, Senior VP of Sales and Corporate Development
Dixon R. Doll, Jr. is currently the Senior Vice President of Sales and Corporate Development at Fusion-io. Leveraging his background in both sales and corporate development, Dixon is in charge of field operations.
Prior to joining Fusion-io, Dixon founded Longstreet Ventures in 2003 as a consulting and advisory firm specializing in private equity, catering to companies looking for funding, strategic alternatives and business partnerships. Dixon has made angel investments in 22 private companies and has worked in the software, communications, security and digital media areas. Dixon is also the former Vice President of Corporate Development at Recourse Technologies, a leading security technology company that was sold to Symantec in 2002 for $135M. Previously he was the Vice President of Corporate Development at New Era of Networks (NEON), a public company in the middleware space that was sold to Sybase in 2001. While at NEON, he built the channel sales organization from infancy to $50-million. He was presented with the MVP award for his sales achievement in 2000 at NEON’s presidents club.
Dixon began in the technology industry in 1994 at Oracle Corporation in the newly created Business Alliances Division. He assisted in the recruitment and management of Oracle’s ISV’s and resellers, led teams in vertical industries and organized revenue deals. He left to become Vice President of Corporate Development at New Era of Networks in 1998.
Dixon is a graduate of Georgetown University class of 1990 where he received his BA in Government, and The University of Michigan Graduate School of Business class of 1994 where he received his MBA. He was a White House Intern in 1989, a Varsity Football Player in 1986, and the composer and producer of 3 original piano solo albums written over the last 14 years. He currently is a member of the Legacy Society at Georgetown University.
John Walker, VP of Operations
He has been instrumental in the growth and development of the company since joining in August 2006.
As a seasoned executive in the electronics engineering and manufacturing industries, John is ideally suited to lead the operations for Fusion-io. Most recently as Chief Operations Officer at VPI Engineering, he played a key role in leading the company to become one of the premier providers of professional contract engineering and electronics manufacturing services. As COO at other companies, John was responsible for driving successful high-tech product launches for many ‘A’ list clientele. Customers included, Alliant Techsystems (ATK), Sorenson Media, Psion Teklogix, Code Corporation, CompuSystems, Inc., and NuSkin International.
John has more than a decade of successful operations expertise in finance, human resources, supply chain and manufacturing and is highly regarded in the electronics distribution and manufacturing industries.
