Gemfire Corporation is a planar integrated optical component company. Gemfire is developing a family of products based on three technology platforms: lithium niobate, polymers and semiconductor lasers. Our first products are currently in the engineering prototype and testing phase, and are soon to be transitioned to new state-of-the-art volume manufacturing facilities. Gemfire has developed proprietary processing methods and device designs that enable large-area integration of many waveguide and optical switching devices on the platforms.
