Howard Morgan

Howard Morgan
, Ph.D. has been a Director of Idealab since March 2002. Dr. Morgan was President, Idealab New York from March 2000 to June 2001 and was a Vice Chairman until December 2002. Since 1989, Dr. Morgan has served as President of Arca Group, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in the areas of computers and communications technologies. Dr. Morgan was a Professor of Decision Sciences at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Professor of Computer Science at the Moore School of the University of Pennsylvania from 1972 through 1986. He serves as a Director for a number of public companies, including Franklin Electronic Publishers, Inc., Predictive Systems and Segue Software, Inc. Dr. Morgan received his Ph.D. in operations research from Cornell University and his B.S. in Physics from the City University of New York.

Brian Garrett

Brian brings strong operating experience and broad expertise in many software markets to the Palomar investment team. Since he joined Palomar in 2001, Brian has been instrumental in evaluating and sourcing new business opportunities in all areas of IT, including enterprise and infrastructure software, wireless and networking communications, digital media and storage. Brian currently serves on the Boards of SkyeTek, Inc., Gamma Enterprise Technologies, Mixed Signals, Zannel, Encryptanet, and Entone, and he is actively engaged with the Boards of Lombardi Software, Alterpoint, and Datallegro. Prior to joining Palomar Ventures, Brian spent seven years working in management roles at early-stage technology companies in Silicon Valley, including Zaplet, Inc. and Niku Corp.'s online business portal, iNiku.com. Brian began his career as an Analyst for Palo Alto-based strategic consulting firm R.B. Webber & Co, where he worked with such early-stage companies as CommerceOne, Inktomi, Sagent, and Aurum. Brian holds two degrees from Stanford University, a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and an M.B.A.
