Former Siebel, Sybase Executive Brings KACE Extensive Experience and Track Record of Building World-class Customer Services Organizations within Rapidly Growing Businesses
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – May 20, 2008 – KACE™, the leading systems management appliance company, today announced the appointment of Mike Regan as the company’s vice president of customer service and operations. Regan brings 25 years of experience in creating global, customer-focused organizations for a variety of high-growth companies. In the newly created position, Regan will be charged with ensuring that KACE’s customer support, training, and product fulfillment teams are aligned in providing customers and partners with world class services.

Regan joins KACE from MarketLive, Inc., where he served as senior vice president of professional services for its mid-market e-commerce solutions. In that role, he revamped the professional services business and established standardized technical support processes to increase customer satisfaction and drive profitability. Prior to MarketLive, Mike held executive professional services management positions at Siebel Systems, Sybase, Datasweep, and Portal Software.

Robert Abbott
Since joining Norwest Venture Partners in 1998, Mr. Abbott has focused primarily on enterprise software and communication technologies. Mr. Abbott sits on the board of mBlox (formerly MobileSys), Occam Networks and ClariPhy and actively works with Open-Silicon. He has also worked with such companies as Embark, Escalate, mPower (acquired by Morningstar), Quantum Effect Devices (acquired by PMC-Sierra), Silicon Access, Summit Microelectronics and Think3. Mr. Abbott was formerly a member of the board of directors of Covigo (acquired by Symbol Technologies) and Resonext Communications (acquired by RF Micro Devices).
Mr. Abbott has nine years of operational experience in various roles, from engineering to marketing and product management. Before joining NVP, Mr. Abbott was at Silicon Graphics. Prior to Silicon Graphics, Mr. Abbott worked at IBM-ROLM Systems.
He holds B.S and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and an MBA, all from Stanford University.

Kace Expands Board of Directors and Secures Additional Funding
Sigma Partners and Pete Solvik, Former Cisco CIO, Back KACE
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - July 25, 2005 - KACE, creator of a family of turnkey IT automation appliances, today announced that it has added Pete Solvik, former senior vice president and CIO of Cisco Systems, to its Board of Directors and secured an additional $3 million in funding. Top venture capital firm, Sigma Partners (over $1 billion under management), led the financing round with additional participation and support from private investors. The new investment will support the company's efforts to meet the growing demand and launch of innovative new products in the field of IT automation.
KACE is led by CEO, Rob Meinhardt, former vice president of marketing at mobile computing pioneer, AvantGo, Inc., now a Sybase subsidiary. In addition to Meinhardt, KACE's Board of Directors includes KACE founder Marty Kacin and Pete Solvik of Sigma Partners. Prior to founding KACE and joining the board, Kacin co-founded and served as CTO at AvantGo. Solvik served as CIO at Cisco from 1994 -- 2001, was named to CIO Magazine's "CIO 100" four times, and was chosen as one of the "25 most powerful executives in Networking" by Network World.
