We were there when it all began- the eCommerce promise of an endless variety of goods, available from anywhere at anytime. But with that promise came the commerce industry’s newest paradox. With endless variety comes overwhelming choice. Millions of available models, sizes and colors mean that while your ‘perfect product’ is only a few clicks away- it’s virtually impossible to locate amidst so many options. We recognized early on that shoppers want the freedom of choice without the burden of having to sort through every available option. And so, over a decade ago, we at Mercado developed the first search engine focused on eCommerce.
