Management
David Li, CEO
David is currently the CEO of TradeVibes.
Prior to TradeVibes, David was the Sr. Director of Product Management at PayPal. During his five plus year tenure, he managed a number of teams, including the Global Risk and Operations team and the Auctions Team, in charge of integrating PayPal into the eBay platform. Prior to PayPal, David held various consulting, marketing, and product roles at AOL, Netscape, eBay, and Kiva, as an independent consultant and a Consultant for Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman). He also advised and invested in a number of Internet startups including Edvert and Paybl.
David holds a MBA from the Graduate School of Business from Stanford and a B.A. with honors in Economics from Stanford University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
Peter Chu, CTO
Peter is currently the CTO of TradeVibes.
Before TradeVibes, Peter was the Director of Payments at PayPal, as part of the Core Technologies Group. Over his seven year tenure, Peter managed various engineering teams, including the Risk and Merchant Services engineering teams. Prior to PayPal, Peter worked as a developer for Raindrop Geomagic (3D modeling) and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), developing Mosaic, the first internet browser.
Peter holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and attended the graduate program at UIUC before joining PayPal.
David Kang, Co-Founder
David is a Co-Founder of TradeVibes.
Before TradeVibes, David was an early developer and a Principal Software Engineer at PayPal. Over his seven year tenure, he was integral in the design of PayPal's backend payment systems, and the development of PayPal's Bank Account Verification, Multi-Currency platform, and Stand-In Payment Processing engine.
David studied Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Doug Ihde, Co-Founder
Doug is a Co-Founder of TradeVibes.
Prior to TradeVibes, Doug was an early employee and a Distinguished Architect at PayPal. During his seven year tenure, he was responsible for the development of Business Accounts, Mass Payments, Fees, Multi-Currency and BillPay. Prior to PayPal, Doug was a developer at Sven Technologies (acquired by Spatial Technologies) for four years.
Doug holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Steve Chen
Steve Chen is Chief Technology Officer of YouTube and co-founded the company in 2005 after he and Chad Hurley resolved to provide a more simple way to share videos online.
Steve has been instrumental in building YouTube into a viral video phenomenon and helped lead YouTube through the Google acquisition for $1.65 billion less than a year after launching the site.
As the company's key technologist, Steve is credited with developing the company's massive data centers and helping build YouTube into a premier entertainment destination and one of the most popular Web sites on the Internet today. He oversees all areas of both engineering and product development, including managing site operations, and developing features and services that are compelling and easy to use for everyone.
Both Chad and Steve have been received several prestigious honors and acknowledgements from the business and entertainment communities including: Business 2.0's "50 Most Influential People," GQ's "Men of the Year," and Fortune's "Most Powerful People in Business." They also were prominently featured in Time magazine's "Person of the Year" issue and received credit for largely influencing the publication's unprecedented selection of "you" in a year that YouTube led the digital democracy explosion.
Before YouTube, Steve was one of the first product engineers at PayPal. He led development efforts and served as an engineering manager on a variety of critical projects.
Steve studied computer science at the University of Illinois.
Ron Conway
Ronald Conway was the Founder and Managing Partner of the Angel Investors LP funds (1998-2005). He now invests independently as an angel investor and was recently named #6 in Forbes Magazine Midas list of top "dealmakers" in 2006.
Ron worked with National Semiconductor Corporation in marketing positions (1973-1979), Altos Computer Systems, as a co-founder, President and CEO, (1979-1990) and Personal Training Systems (PTS) as CEO (1991-1995). PTS was acquired by SmartForce/SkillSoft (Nasdaq SKIL).
Ron has served/serves on Boards/Advisory Boards including: The Red Herring Magazine, AtWeb (sold to Netscape/AOL), Facebook, Plaxo, Photobucket, Digg.com, SendMail, Bright Mail, Ask Jeeves, Napster, SNOCAP (co-founder), Soliel Securities, Rupture, StepUp (sold to Intuit), Gerson Lehrman Group, Associated Content, Edgeio, RockYou, BetZip, ScanScout, Zappos, Trulia, Simply Hired, Stumble Upon, and Anchor Intelligence, an anti Click Fraud company (co-founder).
He is actively involved in numerous philanthropic causes including Vice Chairman of UCSF Medical Foundation in San Francisco, Development committee of UCLA, and Ronald McDonald House at Stanford and the Benefit Committee of the Tiger Woods Foundation.
Edward Kinsey
Edward P. Kinsey is a co-founder and formerly the Executive Vice President of Ariba, Inc., an enterprise internet software company that provides online commerce solutions for the Enterprise Spend Management (ESM) market. He is an active entrepreneur and start-up capital investor in Silicon Valley through his venture capital fund, Determination Ventures LLC, and as a partner in The Kinsey Hills Group. He is also the Chairperson of the Kinsey Family Foundation, a non-profit foundation focused on providing assistance to children and children’s causes and young men and women whose lives have been affected by unfortunate circumstances. He has served on the boards of numerous corporate, educational and non-profit organizations including Comergent Technologies, Inc., Firm58, Inc., DiCarta, Inc., Embark, Inc., BUILD, Inc., The University of Toledo, the Central Cities Ministries of Toledo and the San Carlos, California Little League.
Previously, Mr. Kinsey has served Silicon Valley companies as the Vice President CenterView Software, Inc., as the VP of Operations of Zenger-Miller, Inc., and as the Corporate Controller of Rasna, Inc. He began his business career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP and continued at KPMG where he served in the manufacturing, financial services, non profit and high technology sectors for seven years.
Mr. Kinsey earned a BBA from The University of Toledo College of Business Administration in 1979 and holds Certified Public Accounting certificates in Ohio and California. In 2002 Mr. Kinsey was inducted into The University of Toledo, College of Business Administration Hall of Fame. He is the 2004 recipient of The University of Toledo, College of Business Administration prestigious “Pacemaker of the Year” award.
Dave McClure
Dave McClure has been geeking out in Silicon Valley for almost twenty years as a software developer, entrepreneur, startup advisor, angel investor, blogger, & internet marketing nerd. He is an advisor or investor for Mint, SlideShare, TradeVibes, Oortle/PhotoPhlow, TeachStreet, CrazyEgg/KissMetrics, Eventvue, Spock, RichRelevance, Mashery, Simply Hired, HealthUnity, & Canopy Financial. His current passion is helping startups with product strategy, internet marketing, and startup metrics.
Dave is the conference chair for Graphing Social Patterns, and a co-chair for Web 2.0 Expo. He is a guest lecturer on social application platforms & viral metrics at Stanford University. Dave is a board member for microfinance accelerator Unitus, advisor to microfinance lender Kiva.org, and a co-founder of the Silicon Valley Microfinance Network.
Previously Dave launched & ran marketing for job search engine Simply Hired, and its evil twin SimplyFired.com. From 2001 to 2004, Dave worked at PayPal (acquired by eBay in 2002) as Director of Marketing, where he founded & ran the PayPal Developer Network program. Prior to PayPal, Dave was a database consultant & programmer for several companies, including Microsoft and Intel. In 1994 he founded Aslan Computing, an internet & e-commerce firm later acquired by Servinet/Panurgy in 1998.
Before coming to Silicon Valley, Dave barely graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a BS in Mathematical Sciences Engineering and a minor in frisbee, billiards, & foosball. His interests include microfinance and economic innovation, entrepreneurship and venture capital, ultimate frisbee, cartoons and animation, and an ever-growing collection of funny-looking hats.
