Founded in July 2004 by a team of Netscape veterans, Multiverse is building the leading network of interactive entertainment. In addition to providing its technology to independent development teams from around the world, Multiverse has built several worlds and games, and is also working closely with leading brands to translate their ideas into engaging consumer experiences.

In 2008, Multiverse extended its platform to support the creation of web-based games and virtual worlds. As a proof of concept, the company released Battle in 2009, the world’s first web-based, multiplayer, real-time combat game. Battle and its sequel Team Battle, the second game in the series, blend the proven gameplay of high-end video games with the broad reach of Flash technology, which is available on over 98 percent of all computers worldwide.
