NeedToEat was started by a physician who wanted to produce a robust health maintenance program that is intelligent yet simple to use. It started out as a small project and eight years later has grown to be a complex application that incorporates real-life factors into the planning process.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a program that knows exactly what you really need to eat and then plan meals for you? If you are feeling under the weather or if the weather is cold, it should factor this into your meal planning. If you are on a budget and planning for your family, it should be smart enough to factor all members’ preferences and then offer current sale items that will satisfy everyone’s palate.

Isn’t it disappointing to buy things on your shopping list just to waste them later because your plans changed? Wouldn’t it be great to have an app that intelligently tracks items you buy, help you plan them before they expire and be flexible enough to make quick changes?
