Julian Frumar, Director of User Experience
Julian is responsible for the visual side of Omnisio, striving to provide an intuitive and compelling user experience.
Julian has a track record in defining the web 2.0 experience for a portfolio of startup companies. Prior to Omnisio, Julian was the Visual Communications Manager at Vquence; an online media startup. Julian developed the Vquence brand and visual identitiy from the ground up, and implemented the video authoring interface to enable the search and sequencing of video horizontally across many video hosting sites.
Julian was responsible for developing the branding and managing the media assets at Sensory Networks, and has deep expertise in UI best practices having worked as an advisor developing online strategies for 2threads and design direction for 3eep.
Julian earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia where he was awarded the highly selective Co-op Scholarship, and completed his degree at the University of California, San Diego.
In his spare time, Julian enjoys electronic music production and is learning more about video production.
Simon Ratner, CTO
Simon is the technical lead behind Omnisio.
Simon's expertise encompasses many areas of engineering, from high-performance networking to machine learning and optimization, and now, web-based video delivery.
Prior to starting Omnisio, Simon was a Senior Software Engineer at Sensory Networks. As one of the first employees Simon helped shape many of the company's products, and later lead the development of its flagship intrusion detection and prevention solution.
He holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, as well as dual Bachelor's degrees in Software Engineering and Biochemistry from the University of Sydney.
When he has the time, Simon enjoys digital photography.
Ryan Junee, CEO
Ryan Junee is an entrepreneur, startup advisor and technophile. As CEO and Co-Founder of Omnisio, he is responsible for driving the company's strategic direction and helping to push the envelope in online video innovation.
Prior to Omnisio, Ryan was Director of Strategic Partnerships for venture-backed startup Sensory Networks. As the first employee, Ryan helped guide the company through its exciting first four years of growth, and worked in a variety of roles from engineering to product management, marketing and business development.
Ryan sits on the executive committee of the MIT/Stanford Venture Lab - a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the growth and success of high-tech entrepreneurial ventures. Ryan also maintains a weekly email newsletter for BASES that lists entrepreneurial events in the bay area, and is read by 4,500 subscribers.
Ryan dropped out of the PhD program in Electrical Engineering at Stanford to pursue his passion for high-tech startups. He holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford, as well as Bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering, Finance and Commercial Law from the University of Sydney.
Ryan lives in silicon valley, and in his spare time enjoys flying a Cessna 172 and writing music.
