PeerAware is a startup company focusing on small to medium sized enterprises. The main product is PeerAware, a p2p collaboration program.
It allows people to work together in a workspace with chat, real-time shared whiteboard and support for sharing, browsing and searching for documents. Full text search is used for finding shared documents, and search results are retrieved from all peers connected to a workspace. Several thousand peers can be searched with one query.
The main idea is to support enterprises with a need for collaboration across departments. By creating knowledge sharing networks, where documents are shared p2p style from a user’s computer, it becomes possible not only to search for documents, but also discover related documents and knowledge by browsing shared files.
PeerAware can be extended with custom workspace scripts, allowing anyone to create p2p applications with javascript & html.
PeerAware is a product of Imunin Software & currently in open beta.
