Startup sales guru Erik Stenson joins Bay Area online portrait company Picateers, Inc.

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Oct. 10, 2007 – Startup and new capital venture sales veteran Erik Stenson has joined Picateers, an innovative online portrait company, as vice president of sales. With 15 years of sales and sales management experience, Stenson is now in charge of boosting sales.

Prior to joining Picateers, Stenson was vice president of sales at San Francisco-based Papilia, Inc., BenefitPoint Inc., and InsWeb Corporation. His successful career has focused on enabling technology startup companies to build a solid sales organization and grow its initial revenue base. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Picateers is an innovative online portrait company that enables schools, athletic teams, and children’s organizations to run their own portrait programs and turn them into successful fundraisers. The company collaborates with schools and organizations to find a talented volunteer portrait photographer for School Picture Day. In return, schools receive 50 percent cash back from all sales of picture packages to be used at their discretion.
