Curt Bererton, CEO

Curt earned his Ph.D. in Robotics from the School of Computer
Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to cofounding ZipZap-
Play, he gained three years of game industry startup experience at
AILive, an artificial intelligence middleware company, developing innovative
machine learning tools.
Curt’s passion is to create something from nothing and have it take on
a life of its own. Whether it is developing innovative products from
concept to release, researching new algorithms and ideas in
academia, or starting organizations, his goal is to make things that
other people find valuable. Curt grew up on a farm in Alberta, Canada.

Mathilde Pignol, Chief Creative Officer

Interaction designer extraordinaire, user researcher and creative
director. Mathilde earned her Masters in Human-Computer Interaction
from Carnegie Mellon. She has 3 years of experience researching
and designing state-of-the-art interfaces for web and technology
products at eBay and frog design. Mathilde’s specialty is in making
products that are a delight to use.
Mathilde has an inordinate love for stinky cheeses, which might be
explained by the fact that she is from Paris, France.
