ReadBurner (www.readburner.com) analyzes what people are sharing with their personal social networks on a variety of services to determine the best content across the Web. With an increasing amount of news consumption taking place in RSS readers and personalized start pages versus traditional web sites, ReadBurner aggregates the most frequently shared content from these next generation services to determine what’s popular.

In addition to offering a web site that allows users to see what’s popular, ReadBurner also offers a mobile version (m.readburner.com), RSS feeds, and external widgets and applications to extend the experience beyond the Web browser.

ReadBurner was originally launched by Alexander Marktl, and acquired by Adam Ostrow and Drew Olanoff in March, 2008. The team now consists of Adam, Drew, Thomas Connors, Abner Diaz, and Alex. Our design was created by Gary Bacon of PixelTalent.
