Rob Coneybeer

Rob Coneybeer brings deep experience in building semiconductor and networking companies to Shasta Ventures. Prior to co-founding Shasta, Rob was a General Partner at New Enterprise Associates where he led 15 investments in core infrastructure technologies - spanning semiconductors, software and networking equipment. Rob's investments at NEA included Growth Networks, which was acquired by Cisco for $355 million in 2000, and Xros, which was acquired by Nortel for $3.25 billion in 2000. Before joining NEA, he served as a Lead Integration and Test Engineer in the Astro Space division of Martin Marietta where he helped build the first EchoStar spacecraft - which is still in service today. Rob earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Palmer Scholar.
