SharedReviews is a Toronto based crowd and content aggregation company founded in January 2007. The company is in the business of creating incentive based communities of user generated content producers to help monetize lucrative traffic verticals in the Direct Navigation and E-commerce industries.
The first prototype of a series of social networks planned, SharedReviews, was created to be a valuable source of searchable peer based product review data by allowing users to submit and market purchase experiences within its community marketplace. In exchange, the company distributes a percentage of community allocated revenue that’s determined by the popularity of an author’s submission as voted by other researching consumers. This has resulted in the market’s first crowd sourced revenue sharing system based on social interactions and content quality.
