Shutterfly, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFLY), the leading Internet-based social expression and personal publishing service, today announced the appointment of Geoffrey Weber as vice president of Internet Operations. Mr. Weber will be responsible for leading all strategic and operational aspects of Shutterfly's online presence, including systems, networks, data centers and Shutterfly's extensive Image Archive, which holds billions of customer images. Mr. Weber will report to Stanford Au, Shutterfly's Senior Vice President of Technology.

Geoffrey brings to Shutterfly more than 10 years of experience in leading technology teams and over 25 years experience in information technology. Most recently, Geoffrey was the Chief Technology Officer with Quigo Technologies and managed the on-boarding process of AOL-owned and -operated properties, doubling the number of page views and ad impressions over a three-month period. Prior to Quigo, Geoffrey served as the Director of Engineering for eBay / PayPal, managing a staff of 80 engineers and leading the development of internal processes for improved quality across all technology divisions. Prior to eBay/PayPal, Mr. Weber managed teams and supported database technologies for several leading finance and technology companies including Providian Financial, Templeton Funds and Sun Microsystems.

Geoffrey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from University of California, Berkeley.

On June 2, 2008, Mr. Weber received an employment inducement stock option grant award and a restricted stock unit grant. He may purchase up to 38,500 shares of the Company's common stock at an exercise price of $14.11 per share pursuant to an inducement stock option that is not under a shareholder approved plan but is pursuant to a Nasdaq approved exception. The shares subject to the stock option vest over a four-year period, subject to Mr. Weber's continued employment. Mr. Weber was also granted 6,600 restricted stock units pursuant to an inducement restricted stock unit grant that is not under a shareholder approved plan but is pursuant to a Nasdaq approved exception. The restricted stock units vest over a four-year period, subject to Mr. Weber's continued employment.

As Senior Vice President of Business and Corporate Development, Doug Galen is responsible for driving Shutterfly's high growth initiatives, including strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions. Doug brings more than 20 years of experience in building successful alliances to support corporate planning and strategic development.

Doug joins Shutterfly from Fourth Fleet Financial, where he served as President and oversaw strategic corporate development. Prior to that he served as Vice President & General Manager of New Ventures for eBay, Inc. (NASDAQ: EBAY), where he was responsible for building and launching eight emerging business units including Tickets & Experiences and Real Estate. Prior to eBay, Doug was Vice President of Sales and Business Development for E-LOAN, Inc. (NASDAQ: EELN). As the third employee, he helped grow the company to 150 million dollars in revenue. During his tenure, he developed more than 70 corporate alliances, joint ventures and acquisitions.

James White

Jim White’s eclectic investment focus includes consumer facing, enterprise application and infrastructure solutions. In addition to Shutterfly, White currently serves on the board of Digital Chocolate, Forterra Systems, Inquira, Networks in Motion (NIM), 900Seconds, Object Reservoir, Radiance Technologies, Right Hemisphere, Satmetrix, and Vocalocity, and as a board observer at Data Domain and Infinera.

White joined Sutter Hill Ventures in 2000 from Macromedia Inc. In his four years with Macromedia he held the position of VP of Marketing and then GM of the Interactive Learning Division which was sold to IBM Software Group, becoming part of the IBM Mindspan Learning Solutions Division. Prior to Macromedia, White was a VP of Marketing for Silicon Graphics. In his eight years at SGI he helped to start and build their $1.5B 3D graphics workstation business. White began his career with the Hewlett-Packard Company in the PC division and was part of the core team that created the Vectra Product line, spending time in engineering, sales and product marketing.

White earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from Harvard University.

(NASDAQ:SFLY), an Internet-based social expression and personal publishing service, today announced the addition of Stephen Killeen to its board of directors. Mr. Killeen brings more than 25 years of experience as a leader of high-growth organizations and has an extensive background in interactive media, consumer marketing and financial services.

Stephen Killeen has served in multiple high-profile leadership positions in consumer, financial and technology companies. Most recently, Mr. Killeen was president and chief executive officer of WorldWinner, a casual gaming company that he successfully sold to London-based Fun Technologies. Prior to WorldWinner, Mr. Killeen served as president of TerraLycos, the world's fourth-largest media property. Mr. Killeen was previously president and director of Marketing Services Group. Before joining Marketing Services Group, Mr. Killeen was president and chief executive officer of Raging Bull, where he grew the Company's market capitalization from $2 million to an eventual sale to AltaVista for over $250 million.
