Founded in 2004, Tangerine offers a corporate sponsored, fully-outsourced weight loss and management solution that offers incentives for employees and their spouses who achieve individual and team goals. First, Tangerine develops a custom weight management communications strategy for the business and markets the program to its employees. Then, Tangerine measures the height and weight for participants that opt-in to the program at the beginning of each three-month program period. During the course of the program, Tangerine provides a customized, interactive website that allows the employee to track their individual eating and exercise behavior and promotes community amongst participants. Tangerine measures the employees at the end of the three-month period, and distributes the rewards directly to successful employees on behalf of their employer.
