TruantToday allows schools to send out instant text and email messages to parents when students cut class. Currently, schools lose anywhere from $30-50 for each day that a student cuts class. By involving parents, TruantToday helps bring students and funding back to the classroom.

TruantToday was founded in late 2010 by Zak Kukoff when Zak was a high school sophomore. TruantToday was based on Zak’s experiences in watching his teachers struggle to use clunky, confusing school software.
