Giuseppe Zocco, General Partner
Giuseppe Zocco co-founded Index Ventures in 1996 and is a Partner. His areas of investment focus currently include components, communication and wireless infrastructure and devices. He serves as a Director of several public and private companies including Conexant (NASDAQ: CNXT), Telegent Systems, Artimi, VirtualLogix and Certess. Previously, Giuseppe spent five years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company in several European offices. During his career at McKinsey, Giuseppe advised several major corporations on a number of strategic and organizational matters including European entry strategies, strategic positioning, marketing and new product introductions. Giuseppe holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, an IEP from London Business School and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Paul May, CFO
Paul May, CFO, has more than 25 years experience in financial management and administration, worldwide. Prior to uCirrus Corporation, Mr. May has held CFO and senior financial management positions in leading companies such as Virtuallogix Inc., Avidia Inc., Finnigan Corp., Bayer Healthcare LLC, Siemens Medical Systems and Mohawk Data Sciences Corp. In these positions, Mr. May successfully integrated acquired companies into parent company portfolios, managed divestitures or restructuring of divisons or subsidiaries and was the authority in the interpretation of SEC and GAAP accounting regulations. His experience covers the functional areas of finance, accounting, audit, human resources administration, risk management, business combinations, M&A, venture capital raising and organizational development. Mr. May's experience covers working with leading companies in Europe, North America, Japan, Australia and South Africa. He was educated in Australia and holds a US accredited equivalent B.S. in Accounting. Mr. May is a certified accountant.

Industry Veteran Brings 20 Years Experience to Leading VirtualLogix’s Global Sales Team
SUNNYVALE, California — December 4, 2007 – VirtualLogix™, Inc., the Real-Time Virtualization™ company, today announced that seasoned veteran Bill Harrold has joined the company as Vice President of Sales. With nearly 20 years of technical sales experience, Harrold is responsible for spearheading VirtualLogix’s worldwide sales strategy and execution.

Prior to joining VirtualLogix, Harrold served as worldwide vice president of sales and business development for OpenClovis, Inc., a company offering an Open Source SAF compliant high availability and system management software platform. Prior to OpenClovis, Harrold directed worldwide business development for Mercury Computer Systems, a multi-processor embedded switch fabric systems and IP provider. Bill holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Janpieter Scheerder
Janpieter Scheerder brings VirtualLogix 25 years of experience in developing and bringing to market enterprise software, servers, and storage systems. Scheerder retired in 2001 after a decade at Sun Microsystems where he was most recently president of Sun's Network Storage group. Previously, Mr. Scheerder was president of SunSoft, where he was responsible for the development, engineering, marketing, and sales of Sun's software products, including the Solaris operating system. Mr. Scheerder also served as vice president and general manager of Sun's network servers and information products group, where he directed activities for Sun's server and storage products.
Before his tenure at Sun, Mr. Scheerder spent 15 years at Data General in various sales, marketing, and engineering positions. His most notable accomplishments at Data General include engineering the first of the AViiON and CLARiiON RAID products (now sold by EMC Corp.), which were a major breakthrough in high-performance storage technology.
Mr. Scheerder holds a BS in Electrical Engineering.
Tom Bradley
Tom Bradley is a Partner with Esprit Capital Partners. He was one of the founding partners of that business in July 2006, joining from Cazenove Private Equity. His current investment focus is on the communications sector where he has recently concentrated on semiconductors and related technologies. He represents Esprit on the board of a number of portfolio companies including DisplayLink Corp, Clearswift Systems and Callserve Communications.
Previously Tom worked for Cazenove Private Equity and SOFTBANK Europe Ventures where he helped those funds make their initial investments in companies such as Volantis Systems, Picsel Technologies, LOVEFiLM International and NetEconomy.
Prior to joining SOFTBANK, Tom was a consultant with Datamonitor where he worked for blue-chip clients such as IBM and Microsoft and helped to build the US consulting practice. Tom is a graduate of Oxford University where he studied Modern History at Brasenose College.
Alexander Brühl
Alexander Brühl is a Senior Partner in the communications sector, and joined Atlas Venture in 1998. He is an expert in semiconductors and wireless, data warehousing and security.
Prior to joining Atlas Venture, Mr. Brühl served as Director, Corporate Marketing for R&O Software-Technik GmbH, a leading German enterprise repository vendor with a strong presence in the US. After R&O was acquired by Viasoft Inc. in 1996, Mr. Brühl served as Director, Corporate Strategies.
Previously, Mr. Brühl was Founder and Managing Director of Solution Analysis Group, a German consulting and implementation firm for information management solutions.
Mr. Brühl holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University Munich.
Chase Bailey
Chase Bailey has over 30 years of experience in the networking and IT industry; he sits on the board of several technology companies and is an advisor to many Venture Capital Funds.
Mr. Bailey was most recently Director of New Technologies and Chief Scientist in Business Development at Cisco Systems, where he assessed and analyzed emerging technologies and markets for the determination of Cisco's business plans and strategies. Prior to Cisco, Mr. Bailey was Founder and Chief Technical Officer of Efficient Networks, an ATM and DSL technology supplier of chips and adapters. Efficient went public in 1998 and was later sold to Siemens.
Mr. Bailey's background is in software development of operating systems, networking stacks, drivers and of ASICs for networking solutions. His other industry experience has been with companies including Silicon Graphics, Interphase, Forward Technology and JCS.
Mr. Bailey was a member of the IEEE, IETF and ACM, and has chaired and authored many technical groups and specifications for networking and operating systems. He also taught Internetworking and Network Security at Santa Clara University in the graduate program, School of Engineering. Mr. Bailey holds patents in ASIC design and was the first to port Unix to the Motorola 68000 in 1979.
