Alain has over 14 years of experience in technology and venture capital in the US and Europe. He launched the first competing long-distance telecom service in Europe in 1992 which went public on the Nasdaq in 1997 (TRGP).

He was in charge of business development for portfolio companies of Rosewood Stone, a $300M venture capital firm based in San Francisco. He has invested in or advised over 15 companies and two venture capital funds on strategy, business development, financing and M&A (including Vivendi Universal and Thomson Multimedia).

He helped turn around Vista Research from a high tech research outfit into a financial services research group. Vista Research was subsequently sold to Standard & Poor's in 2005. He was also a partner at Lund & Kenner, a seed stage venture fund based in Copenhagen, Denmark who were the first investors in Skype, Maxthon and Zecco.

Alain holds a Master of Law and an MBA from the University of Paris-Sorbonne summa cum laude . He speaks seven languages fluently.
