Alvaro Sancho
Alvaro is also Professor and Director of the Entrepreneurship Management Department and Managing Director of the MBA programmes at Instituto de Empresa, a top 5 Eurpe´s Business School, ranked by Financial Times. Alvaro manages a team of 150 people being responsible of supervising the implementation of the action plans of the institution, regarding MBA programmes and entrepreneurship activities.
Alvaro´s role includes managing the MBA programme in all bases, fixing budget, assigning objectives to his team and supervising achievements. During the last years, the Business School has nearly double his capacity, with an increase on incomes of 40 millions €, and Alvaro is being responsible of organize and structure the company for this growth. Regarding Entrepreneurship, around 100 companies have been created under his direction during the last four years. Alvaro´s main task has been supporting them during the early stages offering consultancy and net working. Instituto de Empresa links him to a very strong net work in Spanish business community.
Before Instituto de Empresa, Alvaro worked in Cemex, third world leader in cement sector, as an strategic analyst in charge of the international expansion of the company. His biggest project was the aquisition of an Egyptian plant with an investment of 200 million €.
Alvaro has an International MBA Degree from Instituto de Empresa of Madrid, Bachelor in Economy and is Phd candidate for Complutense University of Madrid.
