Arad Naveh
Arad, a U.S. and Israeli citizen, has extensive operating and venture capital experience in both Silicon Valley and Israel. Prior to joining Benchmark, Arad was a director of business development at Cisco, where, for two years, he was responsible for investment and M&A activity in Israel. While at Cisco, Arad led several acquisitions and made a number of early-stage investments in companies specializing in networking, optical communications and broadband services.
Before Cisco, Arad was the founder and CEO of Class Data, a company that developed and marketed software for policy-based provisioning of differentiated services over large IP networks. The company was acquired by Cisco in May 1998. In the ten years prior to joining Class Data, Arad held several executive positions in various U.S. corporations, including TIW Systems, Intero Systems and Edge Diagnostics. He also served as a staff engineer in the Electronics Research Lab of the Israeli Ministry of Defense. During these years Arad was involved in the development of communication systems ranging from large satellite earth stations, to various communication platforms.
He holds a BSc Cum Laude in electronics and computer engineering from the Ben Gurion University in Israel.
