Bert Armijo

Bert is a veteran of multiple startups. Co-founder of 3Tera, Bert also co-founded Topspin Communications, a pioneer in fabric computing which was acquired by Cisco Systems in 2005. Prior to that, Bert was Director at Nortel's High Performance Switching Division and launched the company's Passport 8600 Enterprise LAN switch. Bert joined Nortel through the acquisition of Bay Networks, which had acquired startup Rapid City Communications, that pioneered the first Gigabit Ethernet routing switch in 1997. Bert has BS in Computer Science from Cal State Fullerton and holds an MBA from Saint Mary's College. He is a frequent speaker at top industry events including INTEROP, LinuxWorld, ISPCON, Office 2.0, and AJAX World. His blog is at blog.3tera.com
