When John called me and described what he and Eric were up to at PickupPal, I immediately thought of a book by Thomas Homer-Dixon called The Ingenuity Gap. In it, he describes our world as incredibly complex with so many seemingly insurmountable issues and he raises the question: do we have the ingenuity to overcome the problems we create for ourselves?
PickupPal is the most exciting thing I've done in my 20-year career, because for me, it demonstrates that we CAN find practical solutions to huge problems, and in so doing make the world a better place.
Over my career, I've worked for large corporate giants such as GE Capital, and helped to accelerate exciting startup internet companies… and found one common element among them: PASSION.
