INRIX, Mistele was an executive at Microsoft, responsible for successfully building four businesses within the company including Automotive Telematics & Mobile Speech, Mobile Services, HomeAdvisor Technologies, Inc. and Microsoft Investor/MSN MoneyCentral. He was most recently the General Manager of Microsoft’s Automotive Group. In this role, Mistele was responsible for driving the overall market success of Microsoft’s Automotive products, including T-Box – Microsoft’s wireless telematics device (known in the market as Ford Sync and Fiat Blue & Me) and Voice Command – a revolutionary speech recognition product for the Pocket PC.

Prior to Automotive, Mistele was the General Manager of Microsoft’s Mobile Services Business Unit. In this role, Mistele was responsible for MSN Mobile as well as Microsoft’s carrier and client-based mobile services efforts. These initiatives focused on building revenue-sharing relationships with carriers around a full range of communications, messaging, information and entertainment applications.

Previously, Mistele was General Manager of HomeAdvisor Technologies, Inc. – a joint venture between Microsoft, Chase Manhattan, GMAC/RFC and FreddieMac. HomeAdvisor Technologies was in the business of providing tools and technology to streamline and automate the mortgage and real estate process. Mistele was responsible for creating and managing the HomeAdvisor business within Microsoft, which grew to more than 250 people. When he left, HomeAdvisor was ranked as the #1 real estate & mortgage service on the web.

He holds a B.S. in computer engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
