Carl joined Thinkwell in 1999; he has enjoyed almost thirty years in publishing. After receiving his Ph.D. in history from Oklahoma State University he joined Scott, Foresman. He was president of the college divisions of McGraw-Hill and Harcourt Brace as well as overseeing the public offering of VCampus Corporation. He was the chairperson of the American Association of Publishers Higher Education Division and was a member of the board of National Association of College Stores Foundation. He is the author of eight books and more than twenty articles on the history of the American West. Carl brings Scout to work.
