Cathy Fulton

Dr. Cathy Fulton leads the NetQoS technical vision, integrating critical solutions with innovative products. Cathy has performed network performance research and consulting for well over a decade. As a highly recognized and credentialed expert in her field, Cathy is widely published in networking journals such as the IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking and IEEE Journal of Selected Areas in Communications. Cathy was a Vice President at Smaqcom, a network consulting firm, and as a Research Scientist and Project Leader for Schlumberger. She has provided consulting services to major firms such as Cisco, Schlumberger, and Samsung, and taught nuclear physics at the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Power School. Since co-founding NetQoS, she has driven network performance management innovation and oversees all product development initiatives.

Cathy received her doctorate in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Texas, specializing in performance analysis of multimedia networks. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Texas A&M University.

Cathy has earned many outstanding distinctions over the years, such as National Science Foundation Fellow, National Defense Science and Engineering Fellow, Navy Achievement Medal recipient, National Defense Service Medal recipient, and Navy Master Training Specialist. In addition to these distinctions, Cathy is a member of the board of NetQoS, Inc. and is an active member of both IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and ACM (Association for Computing Machinery).
