Cyrus Massoumi

Cyrus thought of the idea for ZocDoc after rupturing his eardrum during a flight. He tried to find an ENT specialist, but outdated insurance websites and full schedules made him live in pain for 4 days before he could finally see a doctor. Today, one of the largest ENT practices in Manhattan is on ZocDoc's waiting list and will come online in 2008.
Before starting ZocDoc, Cyrus worked at McKinsey & Company where he focused on healthcare and technology. Prior to that he founded a software company called OneSizeTooSmall and worked at Trilogy Software.
Cyrus holds an MBA with honors from Columbia Business School, where he was the recipient of the Heffernan Award for Outstanding Service, and a BS with honors from Wharton. He lives in Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
