David Groll
David has over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry working with startup ventures and with large organizations. David was Vice President of Operations for ALung Technologies, a startup developing an innovative artificial lung device. He was the founder and CEO of Vincent Medical, a contract manufacturer of medical devices with operation in China. David was a long-time employee of Respironics, Inc. He joined that organization when sales were at $6 million / year, saw the organization through its IPO and completed his career there as the General Manager of the company's Asian manufacturing operations. He has been involved in the growth and development of several medical device and biotech companies as a founder, investor, consultant and director. David has extensive experience in product development, medical device manufacturing, FDA regulated quality systems and international operations. He holds a B.S. degree in Engineering Science with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.S. degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He is certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
