Edward Vick

Born in Canada and brought up in England, he studied Literature, Theatre and Teaching in Cambridge.

After graduating, he was a marketing manager in the tourism and insurance sectors and worked for American Express. In 1991, Vick who speaks English, German, French and Italian, founded EVS Translations.

From a one-man office at home, the business has now grown into a company with more than 50 employees managing a network of more than 1,350 freelance translators worldwide.

In addition, Vick is engaged in the much successful promotion of Literature in Bulgaria, where a branch of EVS Translation is located. The Vick Prize - first founded by him in the year 2004 - is the most prestigious literary prize in Bulgaria ( www.vickfoundation.com).
