CIRANOVA APPOINTS ERIC FILSETH AS CEO;
EDA veteran completes management team
SANTA CLARA, Calif., September 19, 2007 – Ciranova, Inc, an EDA start-up developing open
and robust automated layout technology for analog and custom integrated circuit design,
announced that Eric Filseth has been appointed chief executive officer, effective today.
"We are very pleased to have Eric Filseth leading Ciranova as CEO," said Dan Rubin, chairman
of Ciranova's board of directors. "Eric brings to Ciranova his proven leadership ability, long EDA
industry expertise, extensive product management experience, and entrepreneurial energy. Eric
has already made significant contributions in the EDA industry, and we are confident that he is
the best person to lead the future development of Ciranova's business."
Filseth spent a total of seventeen years with Cadence Design Systems, where he was most
recently marketing vice president for Digital Implementation products. He also held executive
positions with Silicon Perspective Corporation and Sente, Inc. Previously he managed product
marketing for analog, RF and mixed-signal products at Cadence. He started his career in 1983 as
an analog design engineer with National Semiconductor. Filseth received an MBA from UCLA
and a BSEE from Stanford University.

design lags far behind that for digital design,” said Filseth. “Ciranova is ideally positioned to help
