Prior to Brightmail, Spivey served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of NetGravity, Inc., a leading provider of mission-critical online advertising and direct marketing solutions. Before NetGravity, Spivey was chairman, president and chief executive officer of Netcom On-Line Communications Services, Inc., a global Internet company. Spivey joined Netcom as president of Netcom International. Prior to joining Netcom, Spivey held various senior executive positions with the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, a provider of global business and marketing information.
Spivey received a bachelor's degree in Economics and Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a master's degree from the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin.
