George Conrades

George H. Conrades, executive chairman of Akamai Technologies, Inc., joined Oracle's Board in January 2008.

Conrades has served as executive chairman of Akamai since 2005. He was Akamai's chairman and chief executive officer from 1999 to 2005. He also serves as venture partner of Polaris Venture Partners, Inc. Prior to joining Akamai in 1999, he served as executive vice president of GTE Corporation, chief executive officer of BBN Corporation and senior vice president and member of the corporate management board at IBM. Along with his position with Akamai, Conrades also serves as a director of Cardinal Health, Inc., and Harley-Davidson, Inc.
