Chief Operating Officer, Icahn Sourcing LLC

Hunter Gary is an operations executive for Carl Icahn responsible for value enhancement of companies in which Icahn has a significant interest. In that capacity, Gary serves as Chief Operating Officer of Icahn Sourcing LLC and as a board member of WestPoint International. His specialty focuses on post-acquisition management of investor-owned companies and hands-on involvement with, and support of, portfolio company management to reduce costs, enhance performance, and achieve higher returns on invested capital.

In parallel to his aforementioned corporate responsibilities, Gary also serves in a public governmental capacity as the Vice Mayor of Indian Creek Village and a notary public of Florida. As an elected official for the past 4 years, he has an impeccable record for cutting operational expenses and reducing taxes for his municipality.

Earlier in his career, Gary was Managing Director heading the innovations management division for Kaufhof Warenhaus AG (a subsidiary of METRO-Group, the worldÕs third largest retailer), where he developed multimedia systems and received the 2002 Global Retail Achievement Award, the 2002 Deloitte & Touche European Achievement Award, as well as the 1998, 2000, 2001, and 2002 German Multimedia Award for achievements in retail technology. Gary also served as Chairman of the International Association of Department Stores business-to-business project team where he coordinated projects for various department stores from more than 63 different countries.

Gary received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government with a concentration in International Relations and a Bachelor of Science degree in German with Senior Honors from Georgetown University as well as a Certificate of Executive Development from Columbia Graduate School of Business.
