Mr. James Ding, Chairman & Co-Founder of AsiaInfo . Mr. Ding served as Chief Executive Officer and president of AsiaInfo from May 1999 until April 2003 and has served as a member of the Board of Directors of AsiaInfo since the company's inception. He was Senior Vice President for Business Development and Chief Technology Officer from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, Mr. Ding was the company's Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer from 1993 to 1997. Mr. Ding has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Chinese Entrepreneurs by Chinese Media, the 2002 Global Chinese Entrepreneur of the Year by BusinessWeek and a Global Leader for Tomorrow by World Economic Forum. Mr. Ding graduated with an MS from the Haas Business School, received his MS from UCLA, and holds a BS in Chemistry, Peking University, China.
