OAKLAND, CA - 2/22/2007 - Scientific Learning Corporation (NASDAQ: SCIL), makers of the award-winning Fast ForWord® learning intervention software, today announced that Jessica Lindl will be joining the company as Vice President of Marketing.

Ms. Lindl, who most recently served as Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for Riverdeep, a leading developer of educational software, brings over 12 years of high-level sales and marketing experience to her new position. She will assume the leadership and management responsibilities for marketing, product management, and events for Scientific Learning. She will report to CEO, Robert C. Bowen and will become an officer and a member of the Scientific Learning senior management team.

Prior to her tenure at Riverdeep, Ms. Lindl served as the Director of Product Management for Simplexis, an e-procurement provider for the K-12 market, and as part of the sales management team for AT&T in San Francisco. Among Ms. Lindl's professional honors was Quality Education Data's inaugural Pacesetter Award in 2004, which recognized the Riverdeep "Destination Success" plan she launched and implemented – a new approach to reading and math instruction that let teachers effectively individualize instruction in a real-world classroom. She also received the President's Award at AT&T as the company's top salesperson.

Ms. Lindl is a graduate of the prestigious Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to her M.B.A., she holds a B.A. in economics and international studies from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
