John Austin
John Austin has extensive experience with software startups and video game technology, and a love of coaching and mentoring young entrepenuers. From 1998-2005 he was CEO of Numerical Design, Ltd., one of the first, and one of the game industry’s leading providers of game engines and tools. In 2005 the company was acquired by Emergent Game Technologies, where he continued on the executive team until 2010. Most recently he has consulted with several startup video game companies. John is a co-founder of the Triangle Game Initiative and chairperson of the 2011 East Coast Game Conference.
