John Wallace
John Wallace has nearly 30 years of senior IT leadership with leading financial and technology organizations in the United Kingdom. Currently he is an independent advisor and consultant. Recently he was Founder and Executive Chairman of CIO Connect Limited, the premier UK organization addressing the issues and interests of CIOs and senior IT executives.
Prior to this, for eight years, Wallace had overall responsibility for Information Technology across NatWest Group, the leading UK clearing bank. He managed a budget of approximately £400 million and a staff of 4,000. His group was responsible for supporting National Westminster Bank’s 2,500 branch network serving 7 million customers.
Wallace is also a non-executive Director of Lorien PLC, the IT resourcing and market research company, where he is Chairman of the Audit Committee and sits on all other committees. He is also Special Advisor to the CEO of CopperEye Ltd., a data management software company. In addition, Wallace has served as Managing Director of Centrefile Ltd. and Eurocom Data (Holdings) Ltd.; as Chairman of Symtec Solutions Limited, a financial messaging software company; and as a member of IBM Corporation's Customer Advisory Council and the Conference Board's European MIS Council.
